Manchester United Let Go Of Zlatan!

This past Friday just gone Manchester United have let go of Zlatan Ibrahimović on a free transfer, and will officially leave the club on the 30th June. The fact Zlatan had scored 28 goals in his first season in England were he was apparently past his best, shows his true quality by winning 3 trophies. The EFL Cup, Community Shield and Europa league isn’t a bad statement to make for his first season in England. Jose Mourinho told the press that United would look to keep Ibra for another season, but that all changed when Zlatan had injured his ACL.

The other options to replace Zlatan Ibrahimović for the upcoming season are Álvaro Morata, Andrea Belotti or Romelu Lukaku. Morata is looking the most likely striker to lead the line for Jose Mourinho for next season. Morata has already agreed terms with Jose and looks set to be Old Trafford Bound. The fact he’s scored 15 League goals in 26 Appearances which is very impressive for a striker who is behind the likes of Benzema and Ronaldo when played up top. Morata also has 4 assists in the league which needs improving if he is to be considered as one of the deadliest strikers around.

Another Option is Andrea Belotti who has been linked to United and AC Milan, but would cost any club outside Italy more than €70 Million which would translate into £60 Million. Andrea Belotti has scored 26 League goals this season in 35 appearances which is very impressive in this Torino team, who finished ninth with 53 points. Andrea Belotti would be perfect to play in front of Paul Pogba in theory, with him running behind the defence and his natural attacking style of play.

Romelu Lukaku is a true goalscoring threat for any team, when he is up against them. Lukaku has scored 25 League goals in 37 games for the Toffies, who had been a crucial part in Everton performing well this season. Lukaku is criticised a lot by the media for not performing against the top teams in the league, which is a fair bit of criticism. Lukaku is a striker who can certainly get you goals out of nothing and really proves his worth when using his many abilities. His strength is his main attribute and is crucial for bringing other team mates into play.

Regardless of all these options Zlatan Ibrahimović will be hugely missed by the reds, wherever his next destination is, he will surely be tearing up the league. Everyone wants to see Zlatan come back stronger from this horrific injury and are sure he will come back a lot stronger, with his surgeon saying his knee is better than it ever has been.
